The Southern African Coal Processing Society is proud to host the 2025 ICPC XXI in South Africa from 12 – 16 October 2025 in the world-renowned Sun City Resort, North West Province, South Africa. The Southern African Coal Processing Society (SACPS) was formed in the late 1960s under the late Prof David Horsfall’s guidance, a well-known figure in the international coal processing world. The SACPS was initially based in Johannesburg, but technical branches were quickly formed in the two main coal mining areas of South Africa, namely Witbank and Newcastle. In recent years, the branches have amalgamated, and meetings are based in Witbank (now known as Emalahleni), the centre of gravity of coal operations.
