RockArmor is manufactured from high strength PET yarns, providing a flexible and durable geogrid which offers an alternative, efficient and safer installation method to underground mine and quarry roof and rib support products.

RockArmor has no sharp edges, thereby reducing injuries during handling and installation. Furthermore, it provides less overlaps due to larger roll dimensions. The Safety Green coating provides high visibility and performance while conforming to the irregularities of the rock face. RockArmor meets both CAN-CSA and MSHA regulatory requirements for FR specifications.

RockArmor
Primary and Secondary Underground Support Solution: Designed to bolster safety and stability, this product addresses critical support needs in underground mining tunnels.
The safety green fire-retardant coating exceeds all the requirements of the Mine Safety and Health Administration while providing high visibility and safety to workers. RockArmor is used as a supporting element underground and conforms to better to rock undulations than steel mesh while being safe to handle and lightweight for easier installation. It can be easily cut to size and adapted to the shape of the structure, reducing installation time and labour costs.
RockArmor is inherently resistant to corrosion due to the raw material properties of polyester which makes it more suitable for underground applications with high humidity or chemical exposure and designed to have a long service life. It is resistant to biological degradation, and weathering, ensuring their effectiveness and stability over time.
RockArmor can be transported in compact rolls due to its flexibility, allowing for more efficient shipping compared to traditional materials like steel mesh. It is manufactured in standard rolls of 5m x 100m and can be customized into smaller rolls upon our client’s request. Standard tensile strengths range from 35kN/m to over 200kN/m and even custom strengths can be manufactured.
