The internationally patented GDT100 Grout Detector & Sensors grout detector, has been recognised by rock engineers as an important need in the prevention of fall-of-ground (FOG) incidents, as mines globally aim for zero harm. It ensures the integrity of anchor installations in underground mining operations to prevent FOG.

Also recently launched is the FABL500 which is the lightest and most ergonomical front gripping jack on the market. Weighing in at 15kg’s, the new design also allows for a cost saving element since a shorter anchor may be installed while retaining the effective length. It is also reliable, durable and one can re-tension cropped installed anchors.

Fabchem Mining is excited to announce the launch of its latest innovation, the Yielding Anchor, at Electra Mining Africa in September. The yielding anchor was designed with the deep gold mines in mind; the 38ton yielding tendon is used underground to support areas prone to seismic activities. It consists of a yielding arrangement at the top-end of the anchor and standard 38t Fabchem Absolute Anchor components: 18mm strand, a square plate, a barrel and wedge, a cone, a grout pipe (feeder), a breather pipe, a 3-holed gasket sponge, a swivel load indicator and a four-part expansion shell.
