Northlite Electrical Wholesalers (Pty) Ltd was founded during 1978 by one of the major shareholders and current chairman, Mr. Alan Fourie (Snr). Since then the company has been under his brilliant and unfaltering guidance for almost 40 years, starting out as a Sole Proprietor and growing into the largest independent electrical wholesaler with over sixty employees across three provinces.

After initially staring out in Pietersburg, strategic placement saw to the opening of a second branch in Phalaborwa in 1979. By expanding the service areas between the two branches the need soon arose to open new branches in Steelpoort and Lydenburg.

With a growing reputation and by word of mouth between customers from different regions in the chrome and platinum industries the opportunity arose to open our newest branch in Rustenburg in 2007. Since then the Rustenburg Branch has grown to one of the leading branches in the group, managing one of two ISO 9001 certified production lines for the group.

One of the strongest attributes of the Northlite Group has always been our ability to adapt to changes in the market and our surroundings. That is why we can proudly say that we are currently a Level Two Rated BBBEE company and have been since 2001.

The success and continued growth of our company is a direct result of our most valuable asset, namely our people. Beginning with our board of directors with qualifications such as BCom (Acc)(Hons) CTA together with Technical Sales Representatives and Support Technicians, all add to the highly skilled group of professions which forms the Northlite family.
