Commercial was formed in 1982, as a division of Fenner South Africa. In September 1991 this division was converted into a free standing company, Fenner Fluid Power (Pty) Ltd.

In 1996 there was a management buyout and the name of this company was changed to Commercial Shearing (Pty) Ltd. This name change was to reflect the main product marketed by the company. These products sourced from Commercial Shearing Inc., a company based in the USA and a world leader in the supply of hydraulic equipment to the mobile hydraulics machinery market.

Commercial Shearing’s main focus is to service the mobile hydraulics market. This includes mining, construction and general engineering sectors, servicing both O.E.M’s and end users. At its offices in Jet Park, Commercial Shearing provides full distribution support to sub-Saharan Africa. With design and testing capabilities, the company delivers innovative, customer specific solutions with a short lead time and unmatched service.
